Method of determining the vertical profile of seawater density on the basis of measurements of the parameters of the movement of the uncontrollable autonomous probe

Abstract:

     A method is proposed for determining the vertical profile of the seawater density as a function of depth based on the construction of a mathematical model of the profiling process that establishes a relationship between the density of the surrounding marine environment and the trajectory parameters of the vertical motion in this medium of a submerged autonomous probe with known mass-size characteristics. The use of such a model makes it possible to put the inverse problem of the dynamics, the solution of which leads to the construction of the algorithmic structure of the information system that provides during the immersion of an uncontrolled autonomous probe the determination of the vertical profile of the density of seawater and its increment as a function of depth.
