Abstract:

In this article, the reasons for the increase of traffic intensity in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol are formulated, the need to study the noise level of the traffic flows of the main roads for the development of noise protection measures is substantiated. The methodology and results of studies of the acoustic pollution parameters of the primary, including residential, territories in 22 settlements on the Sevastopol-Yalta-Simferopol highway are described. The obtained values of equivalent and maximum noise levels in comparison with sanitary standards, characteristics of intensity and structure of traffic flows are analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the causes of significant excess of norms in all control points are determined. In addition to the parameters regulated by the standards, the noise spectra were investigated, with the highest spectral levels being recorded in the region of octave bands corresponding to the maximum sensitivity of the human hearing analyzer. Thus, the connection between the noise level and harmful effect on the population is identified. As a result of the research, the necessity of noise protection measures is substantiated and recommendations on reducing noise load and conducting research on other highways of Crimea are given.
