Abstract:
The article examines primary explosives used in blasting operations at quarries in the Crimea region and assesses the environmental impact of toxic gaseous by-products generated during these activities. Harmful factors arising during blasting operations are described. Key testing methods for industrial explosives to determine their suitability for safe use during production, storage, transportation, and application are reviewed. The characteristics of the RP-2 type granulite explosive are evaluated, highlighting its primary advantages and disadvantages during use and storage. The results of experiments measuring the density of samples are described. The article proposes developing an express-analysis technology to determine the suitability of using RP-2 type granulite at all stages of technological processes. Conclusions are made regarding the feasibility of developing a comprehensive express-analysis technology to enhance environmental safety during blasting operations using RP-2 type granulite.
