Abstract:

Based on expeditionary research data, dissolved oil products were discovered in the Abramova Bay in November 2019. Analysis of the structure of the concentration field of these substances allowed us to assume that their probable source is associated with the oil terminal located on Cape Manganari. This assumption is confirmed by the result of numerical modeling, which showed the following. The oil terminal is a source polluting the Abramova Bay and approaches to it from the west with anthropogenic suspension and dissolved oil products. The southwest wind causes a northeast oriented alongshore flow of suspended matter, which washes the eastern pier of the Kamyshovaya Bay, the coastline between the Kamyshovaya and Abramova Bays and spreads to the entire water area of the Abramov Bay. During 2 days of operation of the southwest moderate wind, the concentration of suspended matter in the waters of the Abramova Bay is estimated at 1–5% of the concentration in the source. And the structure of the calculated field of suspended matter concentration in the bay is similar to the structure of the actual field of concentration of dissolved oil products. A tendency towards a decrease in the concentration of dissolved oil products is noted in the area of the Sevastopol sea fishing port, which is a significant source of oil pollution in the coastal area under consideration. It is shown that under modern conditions the content of analyzed substances in the port area is relatively small, and the impact of the port on the surrounding aquatic environment is estimated at a radius of several hundred meters.
