Abstract:

Most structures and complex technical systems have a long service life and are affected by the corrosive environment. The operating conditions of the material in the structure dictate the need to determine the parameters of fracture mechanics in real operating conditions. The work studies the corrosion crack resistance of structural aluminum alloys in natural conditions of the natural environment. The selected test method allowed us to simultaneously study and compare the kinetics of crack development of a wide range of structural aluminum alloys in natural conditions of the marine environment of humid subtropics under long-term action of load and corrosion-active factors. Simultaneous exposure of samples eliminated the influence of seasonal and annual fluctuations of corrosion-active agents, which allowed us to conduct a comparative assessment of the corrosion crack resistance of aluminum alloys of various systems and increased the reliability of the results obtained. Aluminum alloys subject to testing are widely used in mechanical engineering, aircraft and shipbuilding for creating products, protective shells and parts of complex technical systems. The behavior of the material in the corrosive environment should be taken into account in calculations when designing structures based on the principle of “safe damageability”. In this regard, the study of the processes of corrosion crack resistance of materials under natural conditions is of current scientific and practical interest.
