Abstract:

The study presents the results of the first stage in the development of a microbiological state probe for marine waters – a single-channel TLF fluorimeter. Its operability as a TLF luminescence detector is confirmed. The transformation characteristic of the model digital code to the concentration of tryptophan dissolved in water in the concentration range from 0 to 1 mg/L.is determined. Within the scope of this work, an analysis of current data on the sanitary state and microflora of sanitary significance present in marine waters, water supply sources, including drinking water, is also conducted. Methods for assessing the microbiological safety of open water bodies, including marine ones, are considered. Particular attention is paid to materials obtained using modern sanitary-microbiological methods. When assessing the sanitary-microbiological state of surface marine waters, it is proposed to optimally use the automation method with the application of bacteriological control methods, with determining quantitative indicators of MAFA (Mesophilic Aerobic and Facultative Anaerobic Bacteria), as well as the counts of opportunistic microorganisms, including coliform bacteria groups (CBG). High counts of MAFA and CBG indicate organic pollution of surface waters, as well as a high degree of microorganism adaptation to their transformation.

Keywords: sanitary and microbiological indicators, opportunistic pathogens, E. coli group bacteria, natural water bodies, sea water, total coliform bacteria, total microbial count
