Abstract:

The paper provides justifications for creating wind power plants (WPP) capable of continuous operation, which is provided by the pressure drop  of  the  air column at negative depths and atmospheric pressure at the sea surface. The pressure drop in height ensures continuous operation of the WPP and constant supply of energy to the consumer. Continuous operation of the WPP is also provided by an additional fan installed at the input, driven by an electric motor. The calculations made confirm the possibility of constant generation of energy from the bottom of the seas or from the depths of the ocean. A similar option of air intake from the shaft is possible, as well as the installation of a WPP on the earth surface. Moreover, even in the absence of wind and at a submersion depth of 200 m, the wind power plant capacity is 8,2 kW, and energy production is 70,8 MWh per year. A comparison with the well-known WPP Liten Windpower Co., Ltd. (China) showed that the energy production of the proposed WPP is 2,95 times higher (while the rotor diameter is reduced by 8 times), and compared to the WPP USW-56-100 wind power plant (USA), it is 17 times less.
